Any Model Makers out there?

Does anyone else do models of any kind?  I'd be interested in seeing what people are doing and are capable of

I myself have only been putting them together for a year now, more specifically, model tanks.  So far I have put together a few smaller plastic ones, two 1/35th scales and am currently working on a large 1/6th scale.  You have never seen a 1/6th before, these things are big!  lol

One of the smaller models, they only take 5-10 min to put together but they make great airbrush practice! : This is a Soviet IS2

And the big one! I'm working slowly at this, I've had it since the end of January this year, but I don't want to rush it.  I'm by no means great at this, but I want this to be done as right as I can make it.  Currently I'm in a holding pattern since I'm waiting for paint to come in so I can start painting it before moving forward.  And I need gap filler as you can probably see : But that's fine, I'll make weld lines out of the gap filler anyway   Oh, and this is a model of a German(do we see a pattern? ) Panzer 2C.

Those are excellent. While I don't put together models, it is interesting to see what other hobbies, besides wet shaving, each of us has. I shall look forward to the finished 1/6. Good luck with it.

Big update on the 1/6th model!  Got me some paint, it's isn't military standard for camoe, but I'm not going for realistic.. and I have to work with what I can get, since Canada Post and USPS have a dislike of shipping spray paint





Front, Rear and left side.  It's hard to tell cause of the light from the window, but it's a Gunmetal colour, it looks black but trust me it's not : Oh and the white gunk in the hull itself is gap filler, for... filling gaps.. anyway, ya, the plates there didn't connect tightly so that problem has been solved.  If you look at the last pic, along the top where the two colours meet, you'll see some screw, the ones with flat heads came with the kit, but the one that has a bolt I added.  The skirting didn't sit flat in that area so I had to carefully drill a hole through both the skirting and the hull and put a bolt and nut through to hold it down.  The far side only needed one as you can see, but the near side that you can't see needed 3!    But that is done as well!

Next up is all the tools and such that go on the sides, pry bars, tool boxes, aze, shovel those kinds of things

I have a place picked out already actually!  My one dresser top is large enough to display this on, but I need to get rid of my old 3 disc CD player first to make space.  I never use the CD player any more so it's no loss to get rid of it and put the tank in place

I left it so the top of the turret could be removed so I can get to the guns and inside in case I need to in the future.  And... oh, nvm I have a pic for that I can add at the end

I'm proud of it, even if it has some flaws, I'm happy!  Not sure what I'll work on next though.  I'm considering trying a warship of some kind, but those aren't my field of knowledge(as if I have one ), so I have no idea what ship to even make!  We shall see, however, what happens

Oh, and, if your curious as to how large the main gun is on that thing?  Here is a pic of just the main cannon next to a 1/35 Tiger tank hehe

Which, the smaller of the guns? No idea to be honest, the instructions don't say what the guns are sadly :/
