I have used these blades with other AC-style safety razors and barber razors/shavettes in the past. For some of the blades below, I found that they worked better in other razors of mine instead of the Vector. I have not owned the Vector very long, so fine tuning my technique with this razor may change my opinion of the blades below in relation to the Vector. The next blades I plan to try are the Kai Captain Titan Mild (which works well for me in my other AC-style razors) and the standard Kai Captain blades that I just received.

I shave every other day (instead of daily) so keep that in mind with the notes below. In parenthesis, I put the age of the blade to correspond with my notes.

Kai Captain Titan ProTouch MG (D1,2,3,3.5) - These were the first blades I tried with the Vector Ti. The blade can get bogged down a little in the dense growth of the mustache and chin areas but it gives a great two pass shave without touch ups. I think I would prefer an unguarded blade to handle those dense growth areas. This blade was smooth to me (other than in the two areas I mentioned).

Schick ProLine P-30 (D4.5+) - Shane at Blackland said these blades do not have consistent hole width (even in the same pack of blades) so he does not consider them compatible with the Vector. I have read some people really like them with the Vector. I tried loading a P-30 into the Vector and had challenges to get the blade to sit down in the top cap. Once I was able to get the blade to seat properly, I found the blade to be pretty rough so I abandoned that blade.

Feather Artist Club Professional (D2) - The Feather Pro blade was grabby but adding pressure (which Shane recommended) did not seem to make them shave better. I shaved half my face and neck with this blade before switching to the other blades for the shave.

Feather Artist Club Soft Guard (D0.5) - The Feather Soft Guard blade really bogged down in my first pass stubble, so I abandoned that blade after just a few strokes.

Are there any blades you would like to try?  Can send you blades from my collectiomThinking Feather Pro Super and ProGuard  may be worth a try.  Suspect the ProLight not a candidate.

Would gladly take any SoftGuards you have, even if just a couple and the blade you used once. Tape it into a card as will I your blades. Send me a pm with your address if interested.

Thank you so much for your kind offer!

I do have a few Pro Supers and a pack of Pro Guards and they are on the list to try with the Vector. So I think at the moment have my work cut out for me with the blades I already have. I will keep your offer in mind though.

In the meantime, it looks like JATAI International has the SoftGuards for $16 right now if you are looking for a pack of them.

Thanks again!
