Something tells me this would have been more exciting/have more impact if I didn't already post photos. Oh, well. Haha. I was excited. I did however figure out my focus issues. I was using a portrait mode to blur out the background and I think I was moving my hand into blurred territory. I did some tests and I am still not getting excellent focus when needed. Might have to invest in a camera.
The Chubby was $79.99 with 15% off coming to $67.99
The AKA Brushworx with tax and free shipping was $70.36
Total for both $138.35

Nice looking brushes... Especially that Dark Knight. AKA does some nice work these days.

Yes, I agree 100%. When I saw the dark Knight on their Instagram and headed over to their website and saw they still had it, I grabbed it. Their handles tend to go quite quickly. I thought it looked great in pictures, but when I actually took it out of the box, it was really amazing. You might've picked up my reaction on that when I open the box and actually saw it in person for the first time. I like the Chubby and I'm surprised how nice it feels in my hand considering how small it is. I like it and the sapphire candy concept is cool, I honestly almost wish it was just a pure white. I think that would look sharp. When I saw it on Pasteur's site, the white is what drew me in.

There's a new one that popped up on the site, I think it was yesterday. The Abalone 1 brush. I must admit I'm tempted. Unfortunately I already bought a handle and it's so new, it hasn't even arrived yet. So, I need to temper my urge to buy everything and just let things go. Lol.

While I agree a pure white handle would look nice, I think the design you got allows the brush to be different from all of the cheap, mass produced ones out there. In my mind, anything straight black, cream, or white has a basic "entry level" flavor to it. Not that Simpson or the like are those type of brushes... it just conjures the thought to my mind, since there are so many plain, cheap brushes in the market. That's why I was so glad to see Simson and Omega Evos breaking out into some colorful designs. It distinguishes their handles, and they are very much quality brushes deserving of such IMO.

I also saw the Abalone 1 and I believe there was a 2 as well. You do raise a good point. I have a pure white Omega brush. It is nice but is a basic, entry level brush. Nothing wrong with that, but Simpson does set themselves apart with these designs. There is a Duke in Sunspot Orange I want badly as I missed that color on the T3 and they have Moonjava again but they are just too high in price each plus the overseas shipping.
