Age of this forum

about a week ago I made a comment on TSN and was promptly banned. It was over the new 17-4 brouhaha. good riddance - I rarely spent much time there. getting banned from TSN is a badge of honor.

If you don't mind my asking, what did you say that was so horrible?  If you don't want to answer, that's okay.

Not worth the effort. The forum owner is also a vendor so it is a little dictatorship over there. TSN 
doesn't seen very active so maybe it is slowly dying... B&B and DFS are much more vibrant!

thanks for the FYI on TSN. Will focus more on DFS and B&B for now. The Shave Den seems ok, but their forum software is very different than most others.

Same situation at The Shaving Cadre times 3 egomaniacs. Say they are an open forum. Handle everything they can privately out of public eye and bully people.

This forum has a lot of guys from other forums it seems as it should.  However, I know of lot guys from this forum have also been banned at other said forums for whatever reasons.  Glad to see we can all continue on with our shaving relationships here?

some of the bans on other forums are total nonsense, too...

Unfortunately, TSN is a dying forum anyway. The SOTD and BST threads are the only things that are very active there.

There are some great people over at The Cadre, including the forum owners. I've been acquaintances with many of them for 5 years or more. Unfortunately, their policies seem to be modeled on the same forum that they all abandoned because they weren't happy with said forum's policies... I ran into some issues with them over TOU violations when I started my YouTube channel.

This is by far the best forum around, which is why I spend most of my time here, as do all of the best of the traditional shaving community.

Your entitled to your opinion of the forum owners based on your experience with them which I will say is limited no matter how long you've known them. I have had access to more than you'll ever know from in the background over there and so my opinion is based on that. My experience and knowledge of the facts seen in print and saved for proof. This is why they banned me and swept it under the rug. The fact that you state in bold above should be enough to see they aren't what they portray themselves to be publicly and I'll leave it at that. I only responded to explain since you chose to quote me.

My take

DFS - pretty good
TSC - pretty good especially when you have only 556 members
SMF - same posters all the time
B&B - with almost 93k members its had to get into trouble
TSN - the MODS are obsessed with the owner and they don't even get paid except for a small discount to buy on the owners store
ATG - pretty good 
SRP -  excellent
