GlazedBoker Gus.. another awesome detailed review. Seems like I’ll have to add a Ti Taiga to the den when available and I agree the Sailor is like having a whole den full of different gap razors. I did take it up to a 12 setting just once for the hell of it and it took the one continuous pass BBS record away from the Ikon Tech like a Dodge Demon racing a Volkswagen would in a qtr mile race. Destroyed the 9 hr record the Ikon held with a 16 1/2 hr one continuous pass BBS.
Amazing razor!

With the Sailor & Taiga in the arsenal there really is no need for much of anything else except perhaps for sentimental value razors or from a sheer collector’s point of view, monetary gain down the road. They’ll be some good ones in the b/s/t soon enough gents….

This and the previous Sailor are (for me) really that good that I have sold a few other razors, may even sell my beloved Paradigm Ti1 and Javelin in the future (have some money for a Sailor Ti maybe  Rolleyes)
Thanks for the excellent shave reviews!

The mere mention of selling your Paradigm Titanium 1 will almost certainly guarantee multiple pms! Be prepared! Lol

So for my Saturday morning shave with only one and a half days growth I used the Sailor on setting # 3 for the entire 2 passes going both WTG & ATG and using a once used Feather with some aggressive skin stretching and got a solid BBS shave. I’ve been reaching for this razor a lot since getting it. An I’ll add that no other razor takes down as GlazedBoker Gus calls it “ Sir Adam “ as effectively as the Sailor. Don’t know why but it just does

I just put these up against each other just for kicks & giggles for this evenings shave. The Taiga with the open comb base plate squared up vs the Sailor ‘21. Each with a Feather blade installed and some face chillin’ Stirling Margaritas in The Arctic in both soap & splash. Oooooh a dandy, yes sir! The last shave was a few days back so I went and turned them up to 6+1 on their respective dials.

I had an amazing 3 pass shave with the tiniest amount of touch ups on the chin to seal the deal for a full BBS finish from top to bottom. The Taiga with the open comb is a razor that just leaves me speechless with its amazing smoothness and the uptick in blade feel. The Sailor just gets better every time I use and get more familiar with it. It feels more comfortable the more I put it in use and it’s simply glorious to look at and shave with. Without question, the two best adjustables that I’ve ever shaved with.

The winner? Me……

Disaster struck just a little while ago. I’m just disgusted at what has happened. Taking my SOTD pic for today’s shave off with the Slim and this is what happened.

The Sailor fell about 14’ from my balcony onto the sidewalk in my backyard. It’s a paperweight now…

Don’t know. When I’m done with my scotch and I’m a bit more rational, I’ll inquire with Rocnel. Right now I just want to pour a few stiff ones….

Wow Gus! I feel for you, I did that to my original Charcoal Goods razor I bought when Brian was still on Etsy, I know the pain.
