They'd shave much different by offering a more aggressive profile. If it's going to be Contour mild then agreed, there's really not much point.

Yep, I agree.  I have modified a few Gem razors to fit a current SS handle.  I'm hoping the newer ones feel like those because they are more balanced.  Guess we'll find out soon enough.  I still highly doubt they will be $25 as he said though.

Agreed. But if it's under $50 I might take a flyer on it..... light weight and all, just throw on an s/s handle  for more feel and heft.

I have decided I'm going to wait for all the reviews and buy in a couple of months.

Same here, but I'm definitely leaning towards the Sabre.

I have always admitted I am partial to ATT owning three of them already, but I'm willing to buy something else. The pushing back of the shipping date from 6/17 to 6/30 and the then 7/31 made me pause though so I cancelled my order. I'm good though I have plenty of other things to shave with. Going to give the Boker King Cutter a run tonight, but this time the whole face and not just the cheeks/neck area. I have the styptic ready lol.

Done. Only with the grain though. All is well and no styptic.

it's a pretty ugly looking razor to me. but, if it's $25, I don't think you can expect a show stopper..

In the latest picture in this thread(from FB?), the top cap of the razor has "Stainless St" etched on it. Is this a different razor from PAA? I know the razor at the beginning of the thread was aluminum. Maybe two versions like some other PAA razors made from different materials?

I could see the aluminum version GEM razor going for ~$25USD, but definitely not a stainless steel version.
