“What about a cartridge razor?
NOT recommended.
They are too costly, require frequent clearing of clogged blades during shave and don't do as good of a job.
First blades trims, second blade further cuts down the hair and third blade finishes the job.
With each blade pass, your skin is pulled and tugged, which is bad for the skin.”


I’d disagree with the above part. DE’s work well for the head but I personally much prefer carts for the head. I just get a much closer, smoother shave. They work beautifully up above. DE’s for the face.

I'll modify the article to recommend products like the one you posted.

Cartridge razors do just fine on my head. A cart lasts a month. No nicks, no thoughts, adequately smooth.
Straight? Not me!

So I've been wondering....do you do multiple passes, WTG/ATG/XTG? or just one and touch ups? Is nicking and cutting a problem?

Good questions, I would like to know what others do as well. I've always stuck with one pass.

I have probably shaved my head with the Mamba 300-400 times, I have never even nicked myself once. I have cut off a pimple but that will happen with a cart too. It takes me about 5 minutes start to finish.
