So I got my hands on a new tallow GD soap:
Naranja de Sangre. The scent is very different, a mixture of orange & leather which although struck me as an odd combo actually plays out not too badly.
On to the performance. This soap reminded me a lot of
Talbot in ease of lathering for some reason. I had a fine shave and used a new
Silver Blue DE blade. Personally, I think that
Lisa's Artisan is slicker as are
Icarus ,
A&E &
B&M Reserve/Excelsior soaps. After shave "face feel" for me is not high on my need list as I wash with a cleanser in the shower after shaving so I am not the person to ask for a totally objective opinion on that facet.
It's a fine shave soap, make no mistake. Unfortunately, the market has many more as such that offer me a little more slickness/glide as well as in scents that I mostly love. Also, they are readily available with no purchasing "droughts". To be fair, I encourage those of you whom desire to purchase one and decide for yourself as these matters are highly subjective as we all know. I don't know how much more fair I could be in my opinion which is worth just as much as you were charged to read it.
Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.” “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.
