Shaving razors and knives are both tools.  They both are sharp.  Totally different uses and subjected to vastly different abuses (unless it is Gus GlazedBoker manning the razor).

S**t happens. It's only money......

Just funnin, Gus.  However, you are most correct on both points.

No offense taken. My screw up from the get go.... Happy2

Murat reached out to me today and my Master Collection #2 is assembled and shipping tomorrow. Think it takes about 7 days for arrival in Atlanta. Now I wait.

I just got a message from Murat. The 2019 Sailor was designed to take apart and even switch out handles. The 2020 and beyond do not come apart and are press fitted “ Like Lego’s” according to him.

Well, which LEGO set he using as all the sets I know of come apart? Wink I still wish he made it so that it completely disassembled with ease, like the first collaboration of B&R.

I have to say the 2021 Rocnel for me covers everything from a daily shaver to a skip a few days and dial it up razor. I have been very pleased with this shaver and it has given me a reason to sell off some other high end razors it has replaced from mid to high aggression. I have had no issues with mine, I usually rinse in hot water and dry on a rack, I use Dawn to clean it thoroughly once a month. Very pleased with it.

Considering the number of razors that pass thru your hands, that is quite the endorsement, Mark. Glad you are enjoying it.

I am curious, do you pat the razor dry with a towel after a typical use? Cap on in rack? Hanging upside down?

I hand rinse it with as hot of water as I can take, blow through the open holes, wipe dry with a microfiber towel and let it sit apart till morning. I then put it back together on a high setting and hang it in my rack, the blade gets hung on a magnet strip on my medicine cabinet. Same procedure for all my razors. Once a month or so my razors get a good wash with Dawn.

2nd shave with the MC today. 5 days growth. Turned is up to 6, or back to the dot. Crazy smooth with the gap. I did 3.5 passes and ended up with an easy BBS, as expected. What I didn't expect is it actually seemed a little smoother than the prototype on 6. Slight reduction in blade feel too. I could be mistaken so, I'll give it another 5 days and run them side by side. Hopefully, Big G george1906 will have his in hand by then.
