I agree with Dave in KY it has a very nice scent to it. The aftershave is a bit more pronounced with a vigorous but, smooth and masculine scent. Up for tonight and we’ll see how the soap performs and how the scent opens up. Stay tuned.....

On a side note, awesome flow restrictor on the a/s splash bottle. Nicely done. Happy2

First use was no disappointment in performance on all facets. Protection, glide, slickness and scent were on point. I actually used a lot more product than was needed. It was the first time I’d used an Eleven soap product so, I went big. The pics below will clue you in on my lather build from start to finish....

Just an enormous amount of lather and I could have added more water and continued on. A nice thick, dense and yogurt like build to it that had a silky smoothness and body that was top notch. It went on creamy with the right combination of moisture and body that was second to none. The scent is just wonderful and though not strong was very present and extremely pleasing with every pass of the brush. A classic feeling Italian like lather that for me felt better and richer than my PannaCremma offerings with tallow (Labdano & San Francisco). Woody from the Sandalwood with an elegant earthy tone from the oakmoss and light puffs of musk that would trail in on every brush stroke. It was a luxurious feeling lather and shave to be honest. It just feels like a much more expensive soap on how it feels and performs. Post shave feel was second to none. My skin was soft, supple and hydrated. No dryness whatsoever. The splash was just icing on the cake. A much bolder scent profile over the soap with the alcohol content but, in a very good way. Just a nice satisfying light quench and scent that shows you more than what the soap does and that’s the way it should be. A superb first go with this Eleven combo.

Thanks to Eleven, andrewjs18, and anyone else involved at DFS for making this happen. More than satisfied with my purchase and will not be my last from Eleven.....

First, thanks to Eleven and DFS for putting this together. The scent is very pleasant...I'm mostly picking up the Sandalwood off the puck. Scent strength is on the lighter side, maybe 4-5/10

Quick question on the name - is it "X" or just DFS LE 2019?

That was a blatant “borrowing” from Topo Designs when they collaborate.  Like this.

I read it as “DFS times Eleven”.  To me, it simply looks better than using “and”, as well as keeping with my modern design tastes.

Conversationally, I would just say DFS LE 2019, however.

It has no more meaning than the light blue box around the logos.  Big Grin

Great review Gus.  Now I am excited to give it a try for my shave on Friday morning.
