It has been a while since posting my findings but after what I found today it could not be avoided. A few weeks ago I went to a place that I visit often, that has really good pricing. In the case that normally has the razors he had this...

He also gave me an extra set of blades that are already put away.

At the weekly flea market I PIF'd the $5 fatboy I found that day to a regular that wanted to take the dive into our wonderful hobby. Well he found me later to point out 2 razors that I might be interested in. One being a 1987 Super Adjustable, the other being a lovely gold Ever-Ready.

Well today I went to a shop while wasting time before a work meeting and at the bottom of a display case was this beauty.

I like to think that I got a pretty good deal, a bit of haggling and everyone was happy.

Right on, Terrence! Those are some really good finds. You PIFing the Fatboy was totally cool, too.

Why jaw dropping? I saw a toggle in a local antique shop several years ago, and they were only asking $10 for it. They might not be commonplace, but can be found. Most non-wetshavers see them as garden variety bic-a-brac. Other vintage razors are easier to find, Gillette produced all these durable items by the trainload. There is still gold in the gold fields if you keep your eyes peeled. Thank you Terrence for reminding everyone about that.

If I saw one at that price then I would grab it. It's nice to know, though, that they can be had. Smile

toggles sell for like $150+ on ebay, all day. I sold one for almost $200, I believe, last year..

I have an H4 Super adjustable in near mint condition also. The price for it is $733. Two dollars less than I will take for my wolfman. Tongue
