The soap bar fit tightly into a plastic travel dish, and from there I could easily build lather onto the brush. It quickly made quite good lather with a pleasant peppermint scent and moderate cooling on my face. I built the lather in my scuttle bowl, and I suspect that it will work even better if I face lather, and as my technique with it improves. I'll have more to say about it after a couple more shaves. I should note that this is a prototype, and not the finished retail bar. My wife prefers to continue to use her body wash for underarm and leg shaving in the shower, so I'll be the only one using this.
