General thoughts
This is one of my favorite soaps with the strong scent that transforms into something incredibly powerful. It's easy to load the brush, lathering and slickness are a breeze, post shave is miraculous, and the cost (even though it's coming from across the pond) is very reasonable. You should have this soap in your shave den. You should have other 1912 soaps in your den as well. I am expecting the Magnum, Le Bleu, Irish Fern, and Club Cola soaps to arrive any day now. Stay tuned

Lather
I soaked my silver tipped brush for about 5 minutes whilst showering, after which I gave the brush a slight tug to remove a bit of water before I began. I loaded the brush in the tub for about 25 seconds at which point the orange citrus scent really started to pop. I faced lathered while dipping the brush in the water just once to create a beautiful, full bodied lather. This soap is a dream to lather; I really don't think you can make a mistake with it. I was able to do a three-pass shave and a cleanup while still having a handful of lather left in my hand to rub on for the post shave. It was truly incredible how much lather I was able to make after only loading the brush for a few seconds. I can only imagine how great it would be from a bowl lather perspective.

Skin Feel
I bought this soap after reading what other members wrote in the forums. While on the website, you can see that Citrus Musk has been awarded five stars plus I like citrus, so I bought this one to try. I've also tried Scottish Heather and I can attest that the 1912 line of soaps from Wickham have this nourishing, encapsulating feeling on your face. I felt my face absorbing the oils in this soap. Many soaps leave my face dry due to me having extremely sensitive skin; the Citrus Musk however, made my face feel rejuvenated.

Slickness
I used a Giesen & Forsthoff Timor razor with a Personna Platinum blade for this shave. The supreme slickness of this soap allowed my razor to plow through with really no problem at all. After the first pass, I was rinsing my face and noticed how buttery slick my face was; it felt incredible. My ATG pass is usually where I will make or break a soap; if my skin is burning, maybe the soap wasn't slick enough but with Citrus Musk there were no problems with the third pass, or the cleanup pass for that matter.

Scent
When the soap first arrived and I opened it for the first whiff; I was disappointed. I thought that it was pungent and too funky or musky...upon subsequent whiffs, you really get to appreciate the scent layers that Darron has mixed in. From the website: Infused with exotic flavours from the Orient, Citrus Musk combines the unique scent of Murraya flower with smoothly intoxicating musk undertones for a sharp, citrus burst. Top notes: Exotic Neroli. Heart notes: Orange Blossom. Base notes: Green Wood and Musk. When you first open the top, you will smell the neroli with a bit of orange citrus, and then you musk is powerful as well. While you are loading and lathering the soap, you start to notice the orange blossom pop and become very powerful. It's a soap that you have to lather to truly appreciate how the complex scents are woven together. It is a real treat.

Skin Care
This section is easy; after my cleanup pass, I took the remaining lather from my hand and applied it to my face while I cleaned up the hardware etc. I left the lather on for about three minutes before a warm rinse followed by a cold water rinse. My skin still felt slick after rinsing the soap; I love how this soap makes my skin feel. Post shave is super as well; I wanted to see how my skin would feel without using an after shave or post shave balm. A lot of the time, my face dries up like a grape. With the Citrus Musk, my skin felt as if I had used an aftershave; this soap creates a great post shave sensation.

Value
The soap is super easy and very efficient whilst loading; these are valuable attributes because they allow your soap to last longer. If you are stateside; each soap will cost $17 and the shipping will be around $6. This soap is shipping from England so in my eyes, it's a pretty good deal. Most of the shops in the states are charging you more for USPS Priority so I find that these soaps from Darron are a bargain. When you add in how great the soap is; it's almost a steal.

Quality
I had previously used Citrus Musk two times before tonight. After using it tonight, it has quickly become one of my favorites. In fact, I'm using it tomorrow but with a bowl lather to check it out. The soap is not a hard puck, you can easily punch a hole in it. This softness facilitates the easy load and I also believe it helps with scent explosion while lathering. Great quality.

Packaging
I love the simple, white tubs that Darron has chosen to represent the 1912 line. The top label with "1912" being easiest on the eyes. The "Citrus Musk" label is on the side. The tubs are wide and there is plenty of headroom to facilitate easy brush loading. The packaging is similar to the CRSW Select line where you can see "Select" on the top and you have to turn the tub over to see the soap's name.
