It seems like the market is just CHOCK FULL of vegan soaps these days. Everyone under the sun is coming out of the woodwork with a crockpot and a new vegan formula.

With that in mind, what are some of your favorite TALLOW soaps? Artisan or mass-production, it doesn't matter. Even the dreaded Arko qualifies!

Among those not my own, I'm a big fan of Mickey Lee Soap Works, Tabac, Valobra hard soaps (despite their sometimes weird underlying scent), and have just recently come to enjoy Strop Shoppe Limited Edition (I had historically had a lot of problems with their SE line). What are your favorites?

Barrister & Mann (and I owe Mike Perry a huge thank you for introducing me to them), Mickey Lee Soap Works (and, again Mike, thanks), Dapper Dragon, Mike's Naturals, and Prairie Creations Douceur De Cando. There are probably others but these are the ones that immediately come to mind.

Just so many as tallow is my favorite (despite my raving about MdC).

Barrister & Mann is top dog for me right now. Consistent every time I use it.
Penhaligon's tallow - I was crestfallen when they reformulated. On the bright side I made some money selling off pucks of the tallow.
Mike's Natural. One of the early artisans. Still as good as ever.
Original P.160 if you can find it. (Not the razorrock version of it)

Tabac is my favorite

The reason I think the vegan explosion is upon us is vegan formulas are a bit more forgiving to hard water. I find they are much less finicky than tallow soaps.
I don't care for BBS shaves. I'm just in love with the process.

I avoided most tallow soaps for a long time because of my hard water and oily skin. Barrister & Mann really offers an amazing balance that performes amazingly for me.

Valobra, C&S, old AoS - basically all Valobra made. Artisan tallow is MLS and B&M.

Catie's Bubbles and Soap Smooth are actually vegan soaps, but it's a great list regardless!
