Bought few days ago this soap out of curiosity mostly .
It is hand-made in France by a small family business.

Goat's milk helps skin fight the effects of aging.
The shaving foam, rich, creamy and lingering, obtained with this shaving soap will provide you with exceptional gliding, protection and softness, in order to reduce razor burn.
The strong point of this tallow shaving soap is its hydration and post shave effect, perfect for normal skin and dry. It is a very nourishing soap for the skin. "

Lather building : Face lathered with it .Pretty easy to lather .
Somewhat "thirsty" soap .
Lather consistency : Thick and silky lather.
Stubble hydration/softening :
Excellent! Blade needed almost no effort to cut the hair.Keep in mind that this was a pretty used up blade at it's last shave-9th or 10th not sure-before discarding .
Protection : Pretty good to very good ,but nothing extraordinary to write home about it.Used with a
Perma Sharp blade at it's 9th or 10th use .The kind of protection most tallow-based soaps are offering .
Slickness : Also pretty good to
rather very good .Maybe a bit more than the one of Stirling soaps .
Residual slickness : Excellent !
Leaves a slippery "film" on the skin,
after the blade pass.
Post-shave : Nourishing .Skin felt
really refreshed and rejuvenated.
Not greasy ,not dry .Just perfect.
Post-shave care was not needed really.Nevertheless ,applied some alcohol based asl.
Scent profile :
Top Notes : Bergamot, Grapefruit, Aromatic Green, Orange Tree.
Heart Notes : Jasmine, Rose, Violet, Cedar.
Base Notes : Patchouly, Musk, Amber, Vanilla, Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Leather, Tree Moss.
Scent was created by a dedicated
artisan perfumer from father to son, from Grasse, the world capital of perfume.
Scent power : Maybe one of the strongest scented shaving soaps.
Wife was watering the garden and she smelled the soap ( the lather actually) through a small open window of the bathroom
15 meters ( 45 ' ) away !
" Wow !That smell is wonderful ! "
I heard her say ...
Perfume irritations/allergic reactions : None ,whatsoever.
Not the slightest burning ,itching or tingling .I was expecting otherwise with such an amount of perfume/ essential oils. But no.
Webpage : https://es-rasage.com/en-gr/products/sav...uif-barber
Overall : For it's price vs quantity vs quality ,I think it's another VFM diamond .A very good soap.
It stays in the den .
It's first use left me more than satisfied.Lacks the top-notch protection of far more expensive artisan tallow shaving soaps ,but
beats most of the other tallow-based of the same price category .
Far better than Stirling ,better than most A&E soaps I own .
Recommended with no second thoughts.
