Alex, yes the food is great these days. Ireland has benefited greatly from being a member of the European Union and we are not going it alone again! Our friends across the Irish Sea have other plans. We'll still trade with them!

I'm heading over to see family again in August. Cheap flights these days from an assortment of airlines. Hopefully you can make a trip.

For, 'ahem', some of our more seasoned veterans or movie buffs I grew up about a New England Patriots throw away from the old schoolhouse pictured here in Ryan's Daughter. Both my parents were extras in the film which was shot in our Dunquin (Kerry) but fictionally set in Northern Ireland. They loved it and my father said Mitchum was a great guy and certainly enjoyed his Guinness and whiskey. It helped bring money into the area back in 1970.

Star Wars opening in December was shot here based a mile away. My sister said Mark Hamill almost ran her off the road. He forgot he was supposed to be driving on the left! The set was closed off with security. Times have changed indeed.

Wet and windy but full sun tomorrow for some surfing! Smile Happy2

Max, I loved Kerry when I visited but that was about thirty-five years ago. That whole area is spectacularly beautiful. I need to get back. Mind you, I leave for Dunfermline, Scotland tomorrow so it's all good. Winking
