Yates Precision Manufacturing Razor

Hey All! It's been awhile for me on here, we have been absolutely swamped in the shop, which is a great problem to have. Our new machine is installed, and I should have it knocking out razors within a week. Once it's set up and firing on all cylinders, it should run very close to 24/7. The goal is to get most, if not all, of our products back in stock prior to the holidays. H plates are going to be one of the first products on the new machine, so those should come back in stock fairly soon. I'm planning on offering both stonewashed and polished finishes this time around. I'm also working on a run of polished razors, in addition to stonewashed.

I'm also thinking of doing a small run of titanium razors. They would be the 921-M model, just a Ti version, and would be separate from the Custom Titanium Program I mentioned before. The custom program is absolutely still coming, and I'm looking forward to getting that going.

What new products would you like to see next? I'm thinking either a stainless OC or HYB version of the H plate, and a more aggressive -EH plate. Let me know!

Hey Jake! Glad to hear your business has had such positive response. It was also really cool to see your new machine delivered with that remote control forklift, haha.

Super excited about the custom Ti program and the EH plate.

I’d love to see a full razor in copper with a choice of plates. Also, another release of stands would be great.

Other than that, keep doin what you’re doin!

Deus Vult Thank you! Yea the remote control fork lift was pretty slick! I think I'm going to start doing more behind the scenes videos, documenting the life-cycle and machining process of making a safety razor. Sometimes I take those processes for granted, since I live and breath it every day, but I think it might be interesting to folk who are unfamiliar with it.

I'm really looking forward to the Ti program as well, and the EH plate is coming for sure. I've had a few requests for full copper, so I'll add that to the ever-growing to-do list. I know FloridaCreekIndian wants to see that as well.

Another run of stands is in the build queue, and I plan on making them a regular runner. With those, I'm going to start the custom insert program, so customers and use it to hold whatever razor they'd like.

Jake, thanks and no worries. I'm an antisocial person when it comes to social media so usually miss out on the Instagram Facebook notifications. Just finished subscribing with my email though, thanks again.

Really looking forward to a Titanium model and a more efficient baseplate but the hybrid is still my daily driver. Keep up the great work YatesPrecision

I'm mostly looking forward to the H and EH plates

Just waiting on the new handle and cap to make its way up north. In the tracking, there’s a map and I didn’t realize how close to Canada you were!

Can’t wait to get my hands on an H plate, and am really looking forward to the titanium. A TI set with a hybrid and H plate would likely be heaven!
