I will be out of town for a week beginning July 3. LOOT can be reinserted before me.
As anxious as I am to try it, I would hate for it to sit unused until I get home. I am glad to give cutsies in the lunch line.

andrewjs18 was the plan to add LOOT back in after me or to the end of the queue?
I was told he asked to be removed from the list. unless LOOT says otherwise, he'll remain removed from the list.
See Post 199. LOOT did ask to be removed because he thought he would be in Asia. His plans have changed and he asked to be added back in. I plan on sending the razor on to the next participant on Monday, so I just need to know who to contact for shipping info.

andrewjs18 sounds like we should swap chocotacokid and ewk on the list and keep LOOT removed per his original request. Everyone agreed?

Your experience that the razor requires a very steep angle was exactly what I found. It surprised me that nobody had mentioned this aspect previously.
If you load a blade in the M or the Hybrid razor and then hold your forearm up in front of yourself and pretend or attempt to shave a little hair from your forearm, you can immediately see that if the cap is touching your skin, the blade does not and will not. I’ve honestly never used a DE razor that shared that particular characteristic with the Yates.

I'm using the EH on my head and the hybrid on my face for one last shave tomorrow. I'm going to be filming the shave and I'll try and see if I can get some closeups that show what happens with steep vs shallow angles. I've never tried filming in this particular way before, so we'll see how it turns out. I would say the Blackbird is a bit similar. I have to ride the guard on that razor, too.

I used the EH for a final head shave, and the Hybrid for a final face shave. I still agree with my initial impressions.
Thanks again to Yates as well as to Andrew for making this pass around possible. I really appreciate getting to try this out. The razor is now packed up and will be on its way to Eric tomorrow.
- To me, the M plate is very mild, the H feels closer to medium, and the EH is somewhat aggressive, but nothing like an R41 or even an Above the Tie H1. While the blade gaps are the primary mechanism used to increase the aggression, it seems like the actual exposure doesn't change very much. It feels pretty aggressive, but it doesn't come with the same level of efficiency I would expect from that much blade feel.
- It really wants a steep angle. I would something around 60-65 degrees. I typically use a steep angle with most of my razors, but this one needed more than most. It felt a bit draggy and didn't want to cut well at anything shallower.
- The handle is far too long and thin for my tastes. I looked at their other handle options, and those look much closer to my taste.
