I think it wouldn't be such a big deal, wash off the Top If it bothered me give it a good scrubbing get down to some fresh soap. On Forensic Files they actually followed somebody to a restaurant and got through eating utensils, but they found that guys and a woman's DNA off of the same eating utensils, because they weren't cleaned properly lol. Yeah I think the soap would be okay.
Dan, as you can see, answers are all over the place and, once again, there is no 100% right or wrong answer. I wonder how many folks here, who live with others and share a bathroom, use the same bar of soap when bathing or showering (obviously, liquid soap is not what I'm talking about). I wonder how many of those folks use the same tube of toothpaste where the paste may touch different toothbrush bristles?
I think you have absolutely nothing to lose by either doing a PIF or putting them on the B/S/T with full disclosure and asking price. The worst that can happen is you'll get no takers and the best is you might make someone happy.

Exactly this!
Lots of people have no issue with used soaps. I am not one of those people. It may not be rational but I have an issue with using something that has water added to it, from someone's brush that they have used numerous times. And not knowing how or if they allow the soap to dry in between uses is something that keeps me from going that route. The same goes for brushes. I won't buy a used knot for the same reasons. I'm sure there is nothing for me to be concerned about with used soaps or brushes. Creams I would be willing to use because I think most people scoop out enough cream for their shave and that's it. No brushes touching the cream. Just my 2 cents.

I’ll go on the record here and say if my wife is selling a used soap....I’m all in!
Otherwise.....I’ll gladly and happily spend a few extra bucks for a new one...#FeelingAffluent
