Wolfman WR2 Head Discussion

I’m on the fence between 1.05 and 1.15 in SB...until then keep reading.

I did end up waiting until this morning for my second shave with the WR2 1.25. Used a fresh Feather blade this morning and just an outstanding 2.5 pass BBS. This razor really is at the top of anyone’s game right now. The hollow stainless handle is about the same weight as a titanium handle and the way it feels with this head is unmatched right now. First pass with the OC side WTG mowed down 3 days worth of growth from the last shave with the WR2. Second pass with the SB side ATG took the rest down and the half pass XTG got it super close. Extremely impressed with this razor!!

Thanks!! Brush is a Markus Herber with an Elite Razors High Mountain White 26mm fan.
Blade feel for me is average but so smooth that it just doesn’t matter. You would think blade feel would be huge on the 1.25 but it really is quite smooth. To the point where I don’t have to pay close attention. Just an outstanding feel on this razor! The efficiency is ridiculous!! I just shake my head when I feel my face after and do one of those, “Wow, this is crazy!!”

Not really a wolfman question but the thread seems like a good collection of gents that know their stuff so hoping someone can help. I want to try a wizamet. I like polsilver SI's but it seems like there's so much conflicting info on where to find them or which are genuine. There currently is a 250 pack on ebay for $40 but really don't want to get it without knowing if they will work for me or are even the ones I want. Anyone have any input on where to get a genuine wizamet?

And a side note for what it's worth, after not shaving for 5 days I was finally home and my 1.05 sb gave me a bbs with 2 passes and a fair amount of touch ups all while staying remarkably comfortable. I've really been wondering about the oc vs. Sb debate for these situations and wondered if I made the wrong choice going sb but after seeing how well it performed I think for me sb is the way to go regardless.

Those are legit and the best price you’ll see for a while.

I like the look of the SB best. I guess after all those years lusting after the BBS-1 (and with them being very similar) the SB just seems right.

I agree with Mr. Fox. There is no difference in efficiency between OC vs SB. The SB is much smoother. The only advantage to the OC, to me, is it has slightly more blade feel but that doesn't make up for difference in face feel. SB is the way to go for me.
