So I put my name on the list a week or so ago but as many on here, could use some help with the gap. I prefer a milder shave and my initial thought was for the 1.05 gap on a WR2. I use a Gillette Superspeed and a Parker Variant which I’m not a huge fan of. I have use the H&S N075 and liked it’s smoothness but it lacked some efficiency for me. While I’m waiting for my order for the next 7-9 months, any suggestions for razors to try to narrow in on my choices? Karve, game changer, or Tatara masamune with nodachi top cap? What do y’all think?

As additional info, I typically shave every other day and would utilize this razor for those shaves. So I also thought about a 1.15 gap. Looking to pick up the H&S N075 for daily shaves once they get the redesign done.

I have a 1.05 WR2 SB razor and a Tatara combo.  The Wolfman is  extremely close of a Tatara Nodachi base with a Masamune cap.  The Wolfman is a bit less agressive and more efficient.  I would say aroun 95 % of the Wolfman, but the craftman ship is way better but more expensive.

Can anyone compare the WR2 1.25 to the Diamondback? I own a Paradigm and my name should be called for a Wolfman in a month or so.

I own both a WR2 1.25 SB and a 2020 Diamondback. On my face, the WR2 is slightly more efficient while the Diamondback is slightly more smooth. The 2020 Diamondback finish rivals the WR2 Mirror Polished. They are both excellent razors... Hope that helps.

Thanks. I enjoy my Diamondback. I’m trying to talk myself out of trying the Wolfman but when my name is called it’s going to be hard not to order one. Would be my first Wolfman.

+1 ...I was going to respond with the same comparison. I like to add that the 1.25 is not as mindless as 2020 Diamondback and have to pay a little more attention, but the angle is easy to find on both.

When I had the Diamondback it definitely had less blade feel than a 1.25 while being a bit less efficient.

Having both I agree with this statement.

sounds like I made the right choice to pass on the DB2020 then.
