I love the fact that they don't shed, at least not the Plisson and Ubersoft brushes that I've owned. My Plisson, Stirling Kong, and Whipped Dog 24 and 30mm brushes have not shed a single fiber in the 7 or 8 months I've owned them. The only synthetic brush I have that has shed is the Ubersoft II in a WW handle. That brush shed at least 10 to 15 fibers the first week but has not shed a single hair since. However, not all badgers are shedders either. My Thater has only shed 2 or 3 hairs in the 3 months or so I've owned it.

I can't say that I recall any hairs shedding from the 4 or 5 synthetics that I own.

I have a lot of old soaps with badger and boar hairs in them but very few that I've ever found a synthetic hair in.

No joke, I can tell which soaps my oldest as I find boar or badger hair in them. Of course I'm ruining this by using boar now but that's okSmile

It was the video that cracked me up :p. That segment where you bashed the brush against your hand was hilarious!
