Probably the best razor in my den. Beats my Wolfman WR2 (1.25 gap).

Interesting. Most choose Wolfman for the best razor.

Thank you for your opinion Smile

My 2 Wolfman Razors (WR1 & WR2) are unquestionably the best machined and polished razors I own... but, not my best shavers. I has several other razors that out perform them. The Timeless .95 is one of them, the Yates 921 is another.

I do run a rotation of about 8 razors that I could not tell which one is the best. They all do a great job and are all different in their own way. The difference is what I enjoy and would not want just the One Best.

I will tell you that the Timeless is very smooth with very good efficiency.

Thank you for your words. It helps me a lot Smile

Yates is not my taste even though I had a full consideration on buying it after being told the razors from the Yates were damn good. Some of my friends also told me that Wolfman is well made, maybe the best, but others perform better.

Thanks anyway Smile

I would choose the Wolfman Wr2, but you can’t go wrong with Timeless or H&S 17-4. I love my 17-4, super slim head that just gets the job done and its mirror finish comes close to my Wolfmans. Timeless is very reliable razor and smooth. I just like the Wr2 and 17-4 H&S more. Everyones face is different so YMmv.

Edit: Out of all the Timeless variations I have tried, my favorite configuration would be Titanium .95 Oc variant.

would also go with the timeless based on performance. Price is a bonus especially if you go with a scratch and dent or BST.  H&S is a looker but the performance, while not bad, could not match the aesthetics. Wolfman falls in the middle.

Hate to dig up an older thread, but has anyone used the H&S Ti Efficient?  It seems like it is also one of those elusive comfortable and efficient razors but H&S no longer allows returns unless the razor has never been used.

Here's their return policy:

Quote:Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

I have a Ti Efficient and love it. I bought it after having a chance to try it via a DFS passaround. Here's the passaround thread with a lot of posts about it:
