Hi guys my mate gave me a TOBS Sandalwood herbal hard soap yesterday. I used it this morning & this is a amazing soap it lathers up easily (note I didn't bloom it) thick & creamy. The slickness & cushioning is excellent. I was so confident with it that I swapped my ATT S1 head for the S2 head (I don't normally get on with open combs) & had a great shave with the S2, a first for me. The scent is not a strong sandalwood like the cream (which I love) as you can smell ,geranium, lavender,a hint of rosemary & orange. I would highly recommend this soap as its performance is great.

As per Trumper's Head Office (with whom I spoke today), their creams have always been made in house. Not exactly sure what to make of their response, since I’ve always (many years) read that it was made by Creightons.
(Either the representative is unaware of their history, or, misinformation had been promulgated through the years on shaving fora.)

The only one I have is TOBS Sandalwood in the tube. It was thrown in as a freebie with a brush I ordered from Gifts and Care. I like the scent, but the performance is just okay. Nothing to write home about.

I love British soaps and creams. Mainly because of their scents. Their performance is right up there as well and quality control never seems to be an issue, nor are they constantly changing their formulas or going in and out of business.

Currently in my den I have MWF, several varieties of TOBS cream, Edwin Jagger cream, and 3 flavors of D.R. Harris soaps. I've previously owned T&H, Salters, Trumpers, Castle Forbes, and Erasmic cream and liked them and will purchase them again once my current stash becomes more manageable.

Well, spoke directly with Creightons just today, and they confirmed that they still make Trumper’s creams.
(And they're still the makers of StJoL and T&H.)
