Himalayan Heights v. (Meißner Tremonia) deodar cedar

One of my favorite scents in the fall, Himalayan Heights is nothing more than deodar cedar. A bit oily but sweet and smooth at the same time, deodar is a nice woodsy smell that’s never so pungent as your grandma’s cedar chest. This is a kicked-back, easy going cedar that’s nice to wake up to. My puck's four years old now. It started off blue, but now it's turned green. My wife calls it loden, and that kind of fits the muted coniferous scent of the soap.

Interesting how scent memories and perceptions vary. I have Wickham Magnum in a bath soap, and I don’t get the urinal puck vibe at all, just fresh citrusy goodness.

However, some time ago a certain other shaving soap (I won’t name it so that I don’t spoil it for anyone) did infact vividly remind me of the very synthetic sanitizing solution scent that is released when you flush in an airplane lavatory. Thankfully I had purchased just a sample first. It met the bottom of the garbage can with haste.

From the A&E website:

Notes: bergamot, blackcurrant leaves, apple, pineapple, pinkberries, birch, patchouli, jasmine, musk, oakmoss, ambergris, vanilla.

If you are a fan of Creed Aventus and our tallow base with goats milk & lanolin, you'll really love this soap. It really doesn't get much better than this.

Well, a little over the top; this no ETHOS Succes but it adequate; more citrus open than pineapple but close for an inexpensive soap
