Stella Alpina v. (Saponificio Varesino) citrus, eucalyptus, woods

Beneath the citrus and wood there's an unexpected honey note. It's the sort of soap you don't mind leaving uncovered for a day because it makes the whole room smell so sweet. And the shave? Right there at the top of all the best soaps on my shelf. The dense, slick lather earns full marks for protecting the skin on your face. It washes away clean and it still manages to leave you feeling well hydrated. Superb soap.

Lipripper660 had posted a week or so ago his Chiseled Face Pine Tar and made note that he had purchased it after smelling Razor Master Toivo in the sample box pass-around.  I also really enjoyed and missed out on purchasing it.  Little did I know, the brand was being discontinued  Sad.  But my understanding is that it has been re-branded and the same artisan is making Nordic Shaving Co.  Well, last week when the currency exchange was good, I picked up Pine Tar from The English Shaving Co.  Unfortunately, I don't remember the exact smell of Toivo, so I don't know if the scent is an exact replica.  But what I do know is that Nordic Shaving Pine Tar is a great scent!  Think of it along the lines of Stirlings Texas on Fire but with a more subtle "bite".  I do pick up a cade scent but, for the most part, I get a charcoaled wood scent.

BTW, I loaded from a dry puck with a damp 26mm Silvertip for approximately 45 seconds.  That was way too...I had enough lather for 5 passes!
