Cèdre-Patchouli v. (Le Père Lucien) cedar & patchouli

One of the best parts of working from home is the option to load up thick and heavy with your favorite fragrance without the fear of overwhelming your colleagues. Today I had a patchouli party here at the beach shack. Le Père Lucien's Cèdre-Patchouli gave a great shave, but in grand scope of things it played only a supporting role. The star of the show was Santa Maria Novella's Patchouli cologne, which laid a fog of bliss around me all day. Hip without being entirely hippy, SMN's Patchouli is a bouquet of wood shavings and flower petals wrapped in a thick blanket of fragrant leaves. We'll be sleeping with the windows open tonight.
