Ninfeo di Egeria v. (Wickham Soap Co.)
figgy floral
Egeria was a water nymph. She fell in love with a Roman king and taught him the arts of music and poetry. When he died, she wept so much that she melted into a stream. It still flows today, some 20 miles south of the center of Rome. In antiquity a shrine (
ninfeo) was built in her honor. It still stands near the head of her stream and serves as a focal point in a lovely garden that's remained popular with Romans for centuries. I've never been, but apparently figs grow there too, judging solely by the scent of this soap.
