What soap/cream did you use today?

So the face feel didn't give me the big wet hug I love.
 

Please excuse my ignorance, but what do you mean by "big wet hug"?  I too have recently (within the past year) discovered Eleven soaps and they've actually become one of my top soaps...i love the lathers they produce.

Some soaps produce a lather that just "feels" like it belongs on my mug.  Valobra, Black Tie, some of the Stirlings, DR.  Harris, and others.  When I paint them on there is no tingle, no apparent change of the skin.  I get the same feeling as when I apply a bit of Shea butter post shave.  A big, soothing, wet hug.  It has nothing to do with scent except the stronger scents tend to not fall in this category for me.  It seem so on not have much to do without hydration.  Seems something inherent in The soap that my chemistry likes.

This ‘little’ chypre still packs quite an olfactory punch. It’s nowhere as complex as BM’s Grand Chypre, but its simplicity and rawness make it more appealing. This was made for fans of moss and resin, shavers who like sticky, bitter scents and the way an old fallen tree smells when you roll it over. Like all the Latha line, LPC is no longer in production. So when it comes around in rotation, I load sparingly and squeeze every drop of lather from the brush. The result is always the same: a perfect shave.
