What soap/cream did you use today?

Art of Shaving Rose Absolute shaving cream (vintage).  Almost gone, and it seems to have disappeared really quickly.  Fortunately I have a backup, but only one.

Eufros Dama de Noche

Dama de Noche — “lady of the night”. Which refers to the shrub Cestrum nocturnum. A beautiful floral scent by Eufros, and the performance of the soap is wonderful, as well.

Rosemary + Cedarwood v. (Siliski Soaps) cedar, rosemary

Siliski reminds me a lot of Le Père Lucien. They both make a light but very slick vegetal lather, and they both have a smooth, clean finish. LPL accomplishes this with a bare handful of ingredients including Shea butter, while Siliski favors a more eclectic approach, calling on cocoa butter, kokum butter, mango butter, Shea butter, Castor oil, jojoba oil, and tussah silk. The result is rich finish that’s still wonderfully light and tidy. Like LPL’s older soaps, Siliski’s lather tends to be foamy, but the shave is close and comfortable. And like LPL, Siliski uses very nice cedar, here made all the more interesting by the addition of fresh green rosemary.

I really enjoyed today’s shave. If you’re a fan of Siliski’s soaps, could you please recommend a scent?

Nice lightly scented sweet tobacco

Not briar, not tobacco flower, not ashy or like a cig, but sweet mild pipe tobacco.

Great performing tallow. Easy to lather, low density and slick!

I have the Appalachian Forest which is a scent really nicely done and and the shave is great. Not sure why I don't go for it more often, but I'm gonna have to pull it out very soon. Been much too long.
