Exotic Elemi v. (Meißner Tremonia) wood sap
Friday usually calls for a fougère. It’s nice to end the work week with something that smells alive and uplifting. Exotic Elemi is the closest thing MT offers in that department. Elemi smells green in a sappy sort of way, like the scent of young bark just stripped off a tree. It’s a little peppery and tart. The label says there’s some ylang ylang in the fragrance, too. That’s a sweet floral aroma that sometimes smells of overripe bananas. Luckily, I don’t pick it up at all. French green clay gives the soap a verdant hue and decent slip.

AoS Olibanum + Pepper cream. Incredible shave.
Scent is nice enough on its own...but, probably better as a base scent that's waiting to be finished... I think I'll enjoy it more by adding a drop of woodsy essential oil (balsam fir sounds perfect).
If it matters to you, the cream is only scented with essential oils.
