I too love the scent! But I also find the soap base to perform ok too. Sad it doesn't work well for,you because oh that scent!

Ooh, don't get me wrong... It works well enough (I said mediocre, not poor... and I'm probably being critical, lol). It's just not the soap you walk away saying "wow, that was awesome".
To be fair, it's also under $10 (I think) and will probably outlive my car.
Tallow + Steel Maya
The Maya set serves as a reminder to not judge a scent until actually using it. I already like what I sense directly from the jar and bottle, but using these products really brings out their complex character. There’s a coffee scent in the soap that becomes more prevalent when lathered, and the orange scent in the splash opens up beautifully when it hits the skin. Add to that the stellar performance and skincare of both products, and all I can say is that we have a winner here, as far as I’m concerned.
Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

I'm generally not a cream guy but hey, I got it so I'll finish it. And there is nothing wrong with creams. It's just that I enjoy the load/lather process of soaps. This cream is very lightly scented (coconut. SURPRISE) and could almost be labeled unscented. Lathers quickly and well. Slickness is a strong suit for this cream. Overall a very good product, just not my bag.

Vétyver v. (Martin de Candre) light vetiver
Spritz a bit of Tom Ford's Grey Vetiver on your wrist and let it sit for about six hours. When you take a sniff again it will smell like MdC's Vétyver – pale, clean, and unobtrusive – sort of a ghost of what raw vetiver smells like. If you're looking for wet earth, roots, and rot, look elsewhere, but if you want a tidy little scent that will start the day without ruffling any feathers, this Vétyver doesn't smell half bad.
