It is an easy soap to lather because it has an extremely wide water band, so you'd have trouble over watering this soap. In fact, I had to add more water after my first stroke because my initial lather did not carry enough water. The face feel during and post shave is wonderful and there is great residual slickness if you like a water only cleanup at the end. I will be buying more fragrances soon.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I have a couple of Tabula Rasa soaps. The scents aren’t very strong straight from the jar or even when lathering, really, but I agree that the performance is great. This new scent sounds very promising, and it’s nice to know that if the soap doesn’t deliver a lot of the scent, then there’s always the option to get the Eau de Cologne. Smile

Oud-Santal (Le Père Lucien) oud, sandalwood

I believe this is Cyril's only tallow and Shea butter soap, and I'm very happy to have it. A few of his vegetal offerings have left me rough and dry, but Oud-Santal has a very pleasant, soft finish. The scent, however, seems a little underdone. It’s obviously a blend of oud and sandalwood, but neither of them is particularly rich or inviting. A distant, austere feeling broods over it. A drop of rose, squeeze of bergamot, or a pinch of benzoin would add some welcome cheer to this fragrance.

Catie's Bubbles Maggard meet-up soap. I would call it a cream though. Very soft consistency.
