TABULA RASA - Abraka Barber Shaving Soap

Dan, how do you like the scent of Abrakabarber? I’m intrigued, as I noticed that they not only released a balm, but also an Eau de Cologne.

Matt, I like the fragrance, but it is not a typical barbershop fragrance. This barbershop fragrance does not have a powder or lilic base, instead it opens with a mix of lime, juniper, gin, and hints of pink pepper. This scent is rounded off by a mix of woody notes, smoke, and leather. (Company's scent description) It has a scent strength of 2/5 as it a light smelling soap and does not linger post shave. I personally like the scent very much, but even more than scent this soap is a performer. It is an easy soap to lather because it has an extremely wide water band, so you'd have trouble over watering this soap. In fact, I had to add more water after my first stroke because my initial lather did not carry enough water. The face feel during and post shave is wonderful and there is great residual slickness if you like a water only cleanup at the end. I will be buying more fragrances soon.
