Wickham 1912 - Magnum
I've bought some really nice soaps this year but I think this may be the best one. Performance is top notch and the scent is really amazing.

I was PIFed a tub of Le Petit a while back and I didn't really like the scent all that much so I PIFed it to somebody else. It was too sharp or bitter to my nose IIRC. Le Grande Chypre has more sweetness to it and other floral notes to round it out. A very nice scent.
wyze0ne, thanks very much for your note! I have to agree, Le Petit Chypre certainly has its bitter side. Generously loaded with moss and labdanum, it's not exactly a clean scent. My first sniff reminded me of goat cheese that was about thirty seconds away from going bad, but since then I've got used to the sharp scent of the petitgrain and the gamey note of labdanum. And it seems to leave my skin feeling better than the other soaps in the Latha line. Like you, I've given away a few tubs to friends who were looking for an unusual scent. I doubt those soaps get much use now. But I still love this little chypre, and I'm looking forward to taking a dip from a tub of the big chypre in few weeks.
