Vetiver (Mike’s Natural Soaps) Haitian vetiver
Returning to Mike’s after a short absence is like coming home from two weeks in the desert, in a dirt bag, to find your wife has bought a California king mattress, so soft and thick and wide that all you want to do is dive in headfirst and wrap yourself up in it. In the same way, Mike's works out all the kinks and makes even your most rugged razor ride as smooth as a '77 Lincoln.
Mike’s lather is the richest, glossiest pile of suds I’ve ever made, and it holds more water that I ever thought possible. A little preoccupied with things this morning, I impetuously dumped the bloom water into the lather all at once. I ended up with a small pot of white soupy stuff that looked like Vichyssoise without the green floaties. In spite of the texture, it smelled fantastic, so I slopped it on my cheeks and took a blade to myself. The Polsilver simply disappeared in the white haze, like a ship sliding into a fog bank – no bumps, no jitters, just pure easy glide.
