So . . . how was The Artifact ?

It was actually a very smooth razor but not very efficient. Even after 3 passes and cleanup, I still needed a another round of cleanup.  It could also be that it was a 1st use and I didn't have the angle right.  Overall, it's a really nice razor and came in a custom leather carrying case (too big for travel purposes but still very nice).  My biggest complaint with the razor is that the top cap and baseplate tend to get stuck together which makes removing the blade a dangerous feat.  Here's a (blurry) pic of how far I can get them apart before they get stuck...

Ethos - Sakura stick

After the skiing and it's requisite driving today, I came home, turned on the TV, and passed out deeply for two-plus hours. I knew I am out of shape, but man...

Awoke, hit the shower, and it felt so good to be in there that I think I shaved just to extend it. The stick formula is good stuff, pretty flawless result and nice post feel. It doesn't have the cushion of the other products, so definitely feel the blade, in full disclosure... but noticably very slick and effective/capable (no nicks/irritation).



The resorts in my mountain range haven't opened yet, so had to drive to the closest with the lifts swinging... Vail, about 82 miles from my door (40 miles as the crow flies). Not much open nor the best snow ever, but felt great to be on the slopes again.
