Tobacco Musk

I must say I am a huge fan of this base.
This scent is very unique. The tobacco is not a pipe tobacco, but a fragrant leaf reminiscent of dry leaves in the fall while raking, around hay, with some sweet musk in the mix. The unique aspect that I really liked about the blend - a strong black tea note! Very interesting puck. Great for early fall, warm autumn days. Residual slickness is off the charts. Rinses clean. Love this stuff.

I apologize for over picturing, but you fellas have to try / see this lather to believe it! [Image: 2c1db46d6ac6036228388dfb596f18e8.jpg][Image: f1cbfe9825add213aba451c7ef73cc55.jpg][Image: 06a365e20bd233623c2c976503046e5d.jpg]

Le Grand Chypre t. (Barrister & Mann) limey chypre

Following Merkur Man's well known method, I loaded my brush with soap and water for a full two minutes. This gave me plenty of time to enjoy the fragrance of the lather as it welled up from the tub filling the room with lime, labdanum, and frankincense. There's not a lot of oak moss in the scent, so it's much lighter than many chypres, but it's still complex and enjoyable, and like all Barrister & Mann fragrances, it doesn't degrade or dissipate over time. Le Grand Chypre still smells as grand as it did the day I first cracked it open.
