Brooks Brothers shaving soap (vintage).  An excellent soap, although it is gradually losing its fragrance.

Safe travels!  I'll be leaving soon as well.  Thankfully, I need to check a bag so I can bring along my regular travel set-up

Like your style.  May have to give the old lime/vetiver frankensoap a go.

Woody Almond v. (Meißner Tremonia) Texas cedar, bitter almond

Texas cedar lends this soap just enough smoke to keep the bitter almond from becoming sweet and cloying. By the same token, the bitter almond keeps the smoky cedar from choking you as you shave. It’s a wonderful balance. I don’t particularly care for either scent on its own, but combined they make a wonderful aroma that reminds me of hikes over slickrock through pinyon and juniper forests on the Colorado Plateau.

Giving Bare Siero another go. Fantastic results the first time around hopefully I’ll have it dialed in even better this time.

This is the most Proustian of all my soaps. I take a whiff and I’m immediately transported to Paradise on the high slopes of Mount Rainier. I smell wildflower meadows, balsam firs all around, storm clouds in the distance, and smoke rising from the chimneys at the inn. There’s something else here, though, that’s not quite as tangible. I smell immense space. If sheer distance has a fragrance, this is it. It’s the smell of the Pacific Northwest from horizon to pine-clad horizon. If you’re ever looking for a soap that will make you feel puny, lather The Trail.
Was going though some posts from past days, and came across this one. I wish I had had the same experience with The Trail!

I've had two samples of it now. The first one I sent off to a friend after using part of the sample for a single shave. The second sample I used for two shaves, then discarded it, even though there was still some soap left. There was nothing wrong with the lather, and I truly admire some of Noble Otter’s other scents. I don’t even want to say what The Trail reminds me of, but I just wish it were wildflower meadows, balsam firs, and the likes… Funny how different scent impressions can sometimes be… Undecided

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”
