Had that in my cart on Amazon so many times... Just can't figure out if it's a scent I'd like.

Lavender is generally not my thing... Only lav soap I like is Fine's LPH.

Sandalwood is hard to pin down, as most use very little of the expensive stuff. That said, I like spicy sandalwood scents like the Beer handsoap by Duke Cannon and Proraso red.

Vanilla is awesome and I love that.. no cavets.

Any way I can talk you into describing how the scent mixture smells to you Lipripper660 ? Thanks.

Even better!  There's a soap pass around going on right now featuring this soap.  I think eeyore has it now.  Soap and balm. Sign up and give it a whirl. So for a scent description I seek out my inner Bouki.......... I dig lavender, vanilla, and all sorts of sandalwood.  Although I can pick out each individual note, it's more than just a blend.  The lavender is there but the "floral" is muted.  The Vanilla is the biggest player to my nose but the corners are rounded and it's no way "gourmand".  The sandalwood smells expensive and refined and in talking to the cats that make it is real live expensive sandalwood.  This is a scent I could wear daily as it'll fit all seasons.  That said, it's not going to be confused as a unisex offering (although all but one of the ladies in my life like it).  My daughter, who also wet shaves.  Told me she thought this one smelled like what "Classy Santa" would wear.  (She swears she gets a pine note).   And as I know who her Santa is, I would agree.

I've read that there's a guarantee. I doubt I'd need it. If lipripper says it's good, I know it is. Lol.

Sounds good, based on the scent description. Thanks Lipripper660 . Might be time to finally order it.

Thanks folks.

Mammoth Soaps Shire

First of all, the performance of this Mammoth Soaps creation is flawless. When it comes to the scent: in the jar, Shire opens up rather sweet. As is the case with many soaps, it really comes to life when water hits it. The sweetness takes a supporting role as other facets – such as the scent of violets, spices, and tobacco – present themselves. An incredibly enjoyable experience.

Traditionnel v. (Le Père Lucien) lemon, rosemary, thyme, lavender, eucalyptus

Eights shaves in to this big tin and I’m just starting to see a divot. Even though LPL soaps are not triple milled, they go on forever. I don’t scrimp on the loading. It takes a good 60 to 75 seconds to fill a brush with these soaps, and still at the end of the day, the level of soap in the tub is just about always the same.
