Himalayan Heights v. (Meißner Tremonia) Himalayan cedar

Each of MT’s soaps is formulated differently. All of them work very well for me, but each has its own peculiarities and specialities. Himalayan Heights is especially protective, more so even than most of my tallow soaps. After a good lathering with this soap, I feel as though I could take a hedge trimmer to my cheeks without fear of doing any damage. Today I settled instead for a Feather AS D2 razor, which glided almost imperceptibly over my face. Comfort isn’t quite the right word to describe it. It was a tranquil shave and it got me to thinking I was in some high mountain monastery not too far down the road from Shangri La.

No secret that I like Black Tie Razors offerings and this morning, in keeping with the vetiver theme I chose Black Velvet.  I see where a lot of guys pick up black pepper as the dominant note but I get a really solid vetiver note with black pepper in the back.  It's a very good lemony vetiver and the black pepper knocks the sharpness off perfectly.  This soap almost lathers itself.  [Image: 5DgfyAH.jpg]
