Looks like Stirling got some much deserved respect today. Lots of gents chose this wonderful soap. ME TOO! This is Stirling peach stuffed into a TOBS tub. Lather was predictably great. Still can't get used to how slick Stirling is. The scent is medium strong peach but like all peach scents (given peaches don't have essential oil) a bit artificial. That said, it stayed throughout the shave and was not unpleasant by any means. Wonderful peach goodness. Used a Kai blade today. Don't know why. I keep thinking they are so loved by others I ought not give up on them but they just aren't sharp enough for my white whiskers.

Maya t. (Tallow + Steel) coffee, wet earth, chocolate, beans, allspice
Funny how time or climate can change the smell of a soap. Last June on the muggy beach I couldn’t smell any allspice in it at all. Today in the dusty dry foothills it’s obvious. This spicy note lingers long together with the earthy notes of coffee, wet beans, and chocolate. Even tonight’s hot curry dinner couldn’t drown out the scent of this soap. Could I use Maya every day? Probably not. But this sample size makes a nice traveling companion, and for an occasional departure from my regular herby scents, it’s a very nice diversion.
