Summer Rose v. (Cold River Soap Works) powdery rose
CRSW was one of the few soap cookers to make a truly successful olive oil based soap. Their Oliva line lathers just as well as their goat milk soaps, and their finish is plump and silken, even on a hot and dry August day. Summer Rose may smell more like your grandmother’s potpourri than a fresh garden bloom, but it has its attractions. In addition to the rose, you'll get hints of amber, cedar, violet, iris, and lemon verbena. The result is very powdery. It may be a bit much at first, but it dries down to a soft floral, and when the shaving's done it pairs well with Habit Rouge.
