Bernardo de Gálvez (Joserra) bright leather
Shave 7
This soap has no stearic acid in it. That's a first. And the main ingredient is kokum oil – never seen that before either. Joserra had tossed in a cocktail of cocoa butter, tallow, castor oil, olive oil, jojoba oil, duck fat, lanolin, and kaolin. The result? A lather so creamy, rich, and stable it could turn a cappucino green with envy. I took a look at all fifteen of my Joserra soaps and noticed each recipe had its own twist. The guy likes to experiment, and that's just fine by me. As long as my shaves keep coming out smooth, he can blend his bases any way he wants.

Look what I found in a bottom drawer. I bet I haven’t used this for three years and it still is a good one. The scent is nostalgic, reminding me of when I first got back to the way I started shaving some 50 years ago now. Yeah, I know The Body Shop wasn’t making anything back then but hey, the mind is an interesting thing.

If you will indulge me I am a bit curious. Do you detect any aroma from the duck fat?
