The unbleached Oumo boar is probably still breaking in, but even from the first shave, there was never any roughness (“scritch”) to it. The knot has seen about half a dozen uses. I've tried a couple of different lofts, starting at 70 mm. Even at 66 mm, with the relatively long T-400 handle, it feels like I'm wielding a fair-sized paint brush. Very different from anything else that I have at the moment, but I do quite like the combination.
If you're into boar and don't mind the long bristles, I think this knot would be a good choice. It's been a while since I used my Omega 10049, but from memory I'd say that the bristles in that knot are a little thicker than the ones in the Oumo.
Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”
