Semogue boars are oddities when compared to other boars I own, use, and love.  Most boar brush knots remain fairly similar is shape to the knot when it was new.  They soften and split and perform better with use but appearance doesn't change.  Semogue on the other hand bloom like a Silvertip knot.  I have no idea why but as I like bigger knots, this feature is appreciated.  Today was my Semogue 1250 in 22mm but because of the bloom acts more like a 24.  Soft with almost zero scritch.

I love the larger knots (28mm and 30mm) and the Maggard 30mm is one of the best...super soft with a nearly perfect amount of backbone

Teton Shaves "Humpy" brush.  There is a dry fly called a Humpy encased in resin.  I've caught literally hundreds of trout on this pattern thus...I own the brush.[Image: CreQ188.jpg]
