I have a new brush that I stuck a Maggards high density knot into. It was billed as a two-band at 24mm so I guessed that a 52mm loft would fit about right. Well, I'm likely going to pull the knot and sink it to 48 or 49 mm. This knot is very nice. Soft tips and fine hair acts more like a Silvertip than a two band. I also think it's very attractive. I really like a badger that blooms and really don't care to restrict them too much but I would like just a touch more backbone. I'll use it the rest of the week and decide if it gets shorter or if I leaves the way it is. Great feel. Tons of lather. Who knows. Maybe it'll stay they way it is.
