You're more than welcome, Marko.

To us, it's all motivated by our passionate desire to constantly improve both our products and their presentation (photography, catalog presentation, advertising, etc.) In other words, we try to be serious "students of our work" looking at each piece with a critical eye identifying what's good and, more importantly, reflecting on how we might get just a little bit better (what the Japanese call, "kaizen.") To put that in perspective: two questions we were invariably asked when we sold woodturnings at high-end artisan shows were (1) "what's your favorite material?" and (2) "what's your best piece of work?" The answer to the first was (and remains), "the material I'm working with right now;" and to the second, "my next piece." The answer to the first is a bit of a mind game because if I'm in love with the work emerging on the lathe, I will give it the best effort of which I'm currently capable--while the answer to the second forces the constant, incremental improvement.
