Haslingers costs $8.50 for me. It is only two ounces so that is $4.25 per ounce, which puts it at a moderate to high priced soap. I happen to think it works well so it's worth while, but some may not.

I have to admit I am very surprised with your results. However, if something left my face irritated I'd never use it again either.

I think most soaps are within the 1 to 10 cent per shave range when you calculate it out. Even MdC isn't too bad on that per shave cost when you figure it only takes a very small amount to get a great lather. I think the cheapest I have is Tabac or MWF on a per shave basis.
