My typical breakfast is four to six cups of coffee - no cream, no sugar.

And this. You can't really see it but there's a little maple syrup there too to bring all those great flavours together.

I know but there is a way and as much as it pains me to say this, the hollandaise sauce in an envelope is still pretty good. I resorted to the powdered stuff a while back after an incident where I'd prepared breakfast for my family featuring eggs benedict and scratch made hollandaise sauce and as often happens in my house where a terminally punctual person has inexplicably married a chronically late person, nobody was ready when the food was ready(the late gene must be dominant). By the time people drifted in the sauce had broken and nothing I did could fix it. We had a package of the dried stuff in the pantry and used it and it was actually ok so I keep it on hand to prevent the distress of broken sauceSad

This morning egg and pork fried rice. It might not be what one thinks breakfast should be, but it works for me and uses up leftovers.

It sounds good to me, Brian.  Besides, is it any more unusual than folks who eat a slice of cold pizza for breakfast (and, yes, I have done that)? Big Grin
